playing dvd through SD card

Hi All,

Does anyone know whether the columbus system allows you to play a dvd through it using the SD card slot instead of the dvd drive? I have some files currently in avi format (copies of ones I own) but it doesn't recognise those files. Does anyone know if it is possible? Thanks again in advance.

I am aware that the brochure suggests MP3 and WMA data but wondered if there was a get around solution?
