i have a January 2010 superb elegance with no drls does anybody know if i can change my fog lights to the later lights with drls.

You'll need the aditional wiring as well as the fog lights themselves.

Your elegance does have DRL's, when you enable DRL in the maxidot, you'll see the headlights come on at about 95% brighness. The problem is going to be sorting out the wiring to turn on the DRL's in the foglight housing instead of the headlights since the same wiring is used for both the current DRL and headlight illumination.
