thanks pete

a good wire brush and some hammerite, job done

Painted calipers on a Roomster would probably be a first.

Bripete, to be honest there isn't much in it, if as has been suggested, you spray them with Hammerite Smoothrite, as opposed to powder coating. Things you'll need...Biscuits, tea, more biscuits and tea, and wire brush, brake cleaner, spanners, sockets, brake fluid, brake bleed kit, trolley jack or vehicle jack (be careful if using just the vehicle jack) and loads more biscuits and tea. When done and after testing, a few beers! You will also need a few more friends around and a few more beers in order for them to admire them too. I've done a few and they stand up well to the rigours of the brake dust and heat if smoothrited! And they look fantastic. The finish lasts too. Just clean properly with brake cleaner first and get any trapped dust out with a wire brush then re-clean with brake cleaner again. Two coats of smoothrite works best. If spraying always take them off, and I prefer to always take them off for brush painting too as it's a proper job. Then stand back and enjoy with another few beers and biscuits and tea!

Oh! and you'll need loads of time too. For some reason it took ages for me to do the job last time!! Dunno why!
