I'm about to take my Octavia L&K to France for the first time and asked my local dealer how to set the swiveling Xenons for driving on the right (since there is nothing in the Handbook!). He advised that this is accomplished within the onboard computer and, sure enough, under Lights & Visibility, there is the option to revert to factory settings. Since the Octavia is manufactured in EU, I presume the factory settings are for driving on the right so I chose them. It now seems that I am configured for driving on the right (right beam slightly higher than the left). Question now is: "How do I get them back for driving on the left? There doesn't seem to be an option for this. Can anyone help?

I'm sure that for driving in the EU you set the lights to travel mode. This alters them for the continent. Putting them to factory setting will just reset any changes you have made to coming home/leaving home lights etc and not alter the beam.

I can't remember where it is now in the menu I think it is in lights & visibility menu or it may be in convienience. Have a search through and you should find the travel mode (might also be labelled touring mode) option.

if its the same as the new fabia, your dealership will link the ecu up to something called a 50/51 machine which specifically alters the direction which the lights aim at. i have the same issue as ive bought a uk fabia but live in germany. the only difference as far as i know is that the fabia has the lever behind the headlight itself.
