L&K 130 - Slipping Clutch?

Featured Replies

Driving back from Austria (800 miles at about 85mph) the clucth appeared to slip briefly when using maximum throttle at about 1800rpm in fifth and sixth.

The symptoms were increase in rpm to about 2400 with no increase in speed then a reduction to about 2200 rpm and steady acceleration.

It felt exactly like momentary wheelspin, but there were no warning lights.

The Skoda main dealer today managed to recreate it, but say they have never seen clutch slip like this before, and they have asked Skoda Technical for advice.

If its down to wear they say it will be at my cost!

The vehicle is 20 months old and has done nearly 30k - any ideas or thoughts.

Ring Jabbasport & talk to Elton, They have just fitted a Corrado G60 clutch in my Octy 4x4 & its a lot cheaper than aftermarket upgraded clutches but significantly stronger. I got the feeling that its quite a common upgrade across the VAG range & does fit some Diesels

Is your clutch drastically different to the 110 bhp Octy, Weve done 70000 in the 110 & for 60000 of those its been running 164 bhp & 393 N/m of Torque & the clutch is still fine.
