Door Mirror Surround

Featured Replies

Thanks to some numpty squeezing through a gap even I wouldn't have attempted, I now have a broken drivers side door mirror surround (the shiny bit underneath). Where's the best place to get a replacement and is it an easy job to fit? Sure it must be a common job being the offside one?

Not sure what you mean by shiny bit? As for the mirror a breakers or skoda. The same happened to me a few month back and skoda quoted just over £100 to supply, un painted. To supply, paint and fit it about £200 i think. My thread is on here, think it was best place to get/buy a wing mirror.

Well part of the mirror is a matt black plastic, but the bulk of it is shiny (the actual mirror surround, where it pivots, top half of the leading face etc) and it's the outer bottom corner which has broken. I think I can glue it up for now as I have some pretty fancy plastic glus thanks to my RC racing toolbox) but would obviously like it fixed properly.

I'll post up a photo later so you can see exactly what I mean.

The painted (top) bit is around £27 from the dealer (primed but unpainted). Not got a part number though I'm afraid.
