Feel like an idiot...how do I remove the rear headrests to get the estate floor flat?

Featured Replies

Simple as that. No user manual in the car, and I tried to take them off last night. No way, they stopped in the upper position. I'm sure there is something sneaky there, but where? Because I do have to remove those to get the estate floor flat, right?

There should be a button at the base of the headrest/top of the back seat where the headrests fit into. Press that in and it should release the headrest.

OK, thanks! I looked for it but didn't find it. Probably because there are seat covers (the original seats were pretty dirty). I'll look harder. :)

Pull the headrests up (tip the seat forward), and when it reaches maximum travel press in the button/clip in the top of the seat where the headrest "prongs" come out from. You might need to give it a bit of a wiggle to get it out. Oooohhh-eerrrr :giggle:
