A neighbour who owns a octavia RS has recommended I buy a K&N air filter for my car as it will smooth out the pick up when I put my foot down on my 1.4Tsi DSG octavia. Has anyone else bothered doing this, and if so is it worth it, and can anyone recommend a good place to buy one online if so.

K&N aren't my favourite, as they're often a bit over-oiled, which can cause MAF problems.

I like ITG, Green and Pipercross. Fitted the latter to mine as I always fit an aftermarket lifetime filter rather than the OEM paper ones. It's the same part number for yours as my PD140 I do believe.

Online places - quite a few. As you're Cheshire, you could pop along to Awesome and get one in person. Probably not too far away. Or their online shop if you prefer.
