Paint Chips all over front of the car

Featured Replies

I hope you can help (and not scare me too much)

I was driving along the M32 today when the car in front of me had its rear passenger window shatter. As I was directly behind it all of the glass hit my car at about 60mph.

Now I have loads of chip all over the bonnet, wings, a couple of the doors, and one big one on the roof.

I did not get a chance to get a reg number, so have contacted the highways agency to see if they have any footage, but what I was wondering is whether to just leave it (and be sad, the car is less than a year old) or call out one of the chip companies, or as there are so many, is it best to go to a bodyshop?

I am based in Borehamwood, Herts.

Not sure of other peoples experiences, but when I got "Chips Away" out to my mums Jag (a trailer had hit into the back causing a really big bit of paint to flake off) I asked him whether he could sort the stone chips on my Fiesta. To which I got the reply "We don't do stone chips, they're too small". I know, I was amazed too! Chips can certainly be sorted, but by the sounds of things it'll be more cost effective for you to just go to a bodyshop and get a quote for sorting out the panels properly.

Sorry if that's not really what you wanted to hear!
