Team Dynamics have finally seen the light

These can be ordered in an ET of your choice, so ET42 to go over the brakes should be just about right

but its got advertising on it ! Id want a discount for it we already get skodas cheaper than VW for having the badge after all :p

I actually wouldn't recommend anyone getting these wheels - they are the same as the LE wheels (minus centre cap, and a different coluor obviously) and as such are light, not very strong and will almost certainly suffer from buckling at some point on British pot holed roads (just look at the LE wheel threads on this site for proof!). I've got them myself and I like their looks, but having to have had two new ones in two and a half years then I wouldn't get them from new again!

I thought there were a few more spokes on the proper LE wheels?

I'm sorry, but I don't think you're correct. Team Dynamics Pro Race are strong wheels designed for motorsport, you only have to go to a club race meeting to see that about half of the racing saloons and hatchbacks are running them. I've had some for over 3 years (on an MG ZS, not my Octavia) and they've been over rumble strips and curbs on trackdays and down some pretty nasty pot holes on the road and apart from a little bit of paint flaking they're fine.

I can guarantee that the VRS LE wheels are not the same, as no Pro Race wheels have centre caps and they wouldn't be buckling easily. The LE wheels look more like Team Dynamics Monza to me:

These are a cheaper lower quality wheels that looks similar to Pro Race but aren't as light or strong.

I think you need to get your facts right too

These are Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s, and albeit they are very light, they are intended for competition use as well

I believe that the LE wheels are Monzas, and apparently they have been causing problems to LE owners :'(

Completely correct. Pro Races are made in an entirely different way, with different materials and as such are a completely different standard. They're in a completely different league to Monzas.

Very light, very strong - built for the rigours of motorsport. The clue's in the model name really....

I want the VWR pro race for my VRS!

Yes, the LE wheels are Monzas and these are Pro Race 1.2s, but as they don't cost a lot more than the Monzas and are made by the same company I wouldn't trust them one bit. Like I said, track racing is a world away from negotiating increasingly bad pot holes and after my experience I'd never by choice use a Team Dynamics product again as it seems in the case of their wheels you really do get what you pay for...

You are of course perfectly entitled to your opinion, but it's relevance is limited by the fact that your experience with the LE is with Monzas and not the Pro Race 1.2s

And of course you have had a set in a decent colour......:moon:

Hang on, you said the LE wheels were Pro Race 1.2s earlier and now you've changed your mind.

Don't you think wheels get a hamering on the track, bouncing over curbs and rumble strips? As I said I've used some on the road with 40 profile tyres and have inadvertanly driven through pot holes which have not caused any damage. The Pro Race range is also used alot in rallying where they take a pounding.

If you're such an expert, please can you let people know what wheels they should be buying.
