my 02 octavia 1.9tdi is very stubborn when trying to start. sometimes it starts first time but mostly it can take me 5-10 minutes to get going. when i turn the key there are lights but nithing else not even the starter click. also the speedo does not move and the fuel gauge always move at the slightest turn of the steering wheel and the damn low fuel alarm keeps bleeping. please help my sanity. ive checked the battery and changed the key fob battery

It's a TDI so no coil packs.

It could be as simple as faulty ignition switch or a break in the loom to the switch
