Tailgate glass top weatherstrip

Featured Replies

Hi,

the weatherstrip has started to come away from the top of the tailgate glass (see pic below). It looks as if the original was held on with a self adhesive strip - possibly double sided tape. Has anybody successfully repaired this or is it a new item from Skoda (can you buy it or do you have to buy the whole window !!!).

I've been in touch with Evo-Stik (Bostik) but they want to know what type of rubber it is before they'll recommend a glue.

Regards,

D

Are you in Warranty still?

Well out of it - it's a '55 plate.

I've had it for three years.

Hence why I was asking about repair/replace -I'll have to do it myself. It's due a service in a 2000 miles so I've got time to get the glue sorted.

Regards,

D
