Niggling Gear selector gate problem

Ive had a Niggling problem with vrs not going into first gear right since i bought it middle of last year.

Now it doesnt do it all time but when it does it feels like gear lever is going to far to left so it like jams between 1st and reverse and wont go smoothly into first,

Ive changed gearbox oil twice and set gear selector cables up by locking up etc, also got dogbone bushs done and just done g60/vr6 clutch and flywheel conversion but its still doing it

Ive checked cable ends and for play in joints etc but carnt see anything obvious,

Anybody ever come across problem because its starting to get on my nerves now
