Collected my black 55 plate VRS (series 1) on Sunday and had my first week driving it to work through the Quantocks here in Somerset. Glad I did the advanced driving course a few years ago as its given me a fighting chance of handling the car. Starting to find a few new overtaking spots on the twisty windy stuff which my old Laguna could never hope to acheive.

Makes going to work fun, fun, fun. Lovely car and well cared for by the previous owners. Hope I can do the same.

All I want to do at the moment is swap out the old tape head unit and boot CD Changer for a CD head unit with aux/USB input. Ideally I'm looking for something though that will have separate remote audio control. I see Sony did some a few years ago with the RM-X5S or RMX6S remote Commander units but these appear to be HiR units not standard InfraRed units so are limited to only a few units (one with green illumination like a CDX​-GT630UI head unit which is only iR not HiR would be nice).

Any experience with Sony kit or other remote audio control devices would be appreciated.
