Hi every one at the momment i have a skoda octavia 1.9 TDI PD 2008 year how much BHP does it have? also im looking to get a new skoda octavia 1.6 TDI CR but i know the 1.6 has a 105 bhp but does it pull the same as the 1.9 tdi PD because i am a taxi driver and im used to the PD as its got a good but of grunt any answers

The 1.9 is also 105 bhp.

The 1.6 is a lot quieter but as yet never driven one

I would keep the 1.9 going if it has not done 200,000 yet it wont be run in

The 1.6cr doesnt pull anywhere near as good as the 1.9pd, we have got a couple of them on site as demo's and courtesy cars and yes they are very quiet compared to the pd but you have to push them to make them go where the pd pulls all the way through the rev range.

HMMM that makes me think a bit the two big reasons i want the 1.6 is beacuse you get 72 MPG and only £30 road tax sound a bit of a differcence there but will still go for it i think planning to get one between feb and may and i'm looking for the SE trim because i dont think the S comes with remote loking, does it?
