Anyone replaced standard turbo with another one?

Featured Replies

Is it better for me to go hybrid or replace like for like??

Truth be told. The car is the Wifes, and its pretty much used as a workhorse..nothing more..

Cant really face paying over a £1000 to replace a turbo!

You should be able to get a 2nd hand one from somebody modifying for about £200 or less.

That's the cheapest way.

My car had only done 20k miles when it was stripped for modifying.

I put the turbo up for sale on here for £200 and had no takers for a week or so. It ended up going for £200 including postage!

Make sure you're buying a gt1749v a or b (pd130/150 across the vag range).

They're a bit better than the skoda pd130 standard which is a KKK one.
