Use of trolley jack

Featured Replies

Thanks, TP. The orange one weighs in at a hefty ten ounces versus the six ounces of the black one. Both proper hockey pucks, I'm sure. Rather than the toy, TWO ounce hollow thing I, foolishly bought. Thanks for pointing me toward the proper thing, TP.

I see Gjay and Breckie are in conversation about the puck I bought ....... Please note that it was just a bad purchase on my behalf in getting that lightweight, hollow toy. A proper puck, as referred to a couple of posts back by TP, would, I'm sure, be fine for the seam jacking point. I'm going to order one of the two recommended items. Did I see you mention....."under the bumper or sump or suspension" ????? You're surely 'aving a larf !! ?? :) ....I think it's been well enough established now, it's the seam, where the arrows clearly mark the points. And the point of the puck, with a slot cut in it, is just to sit in the 'cup' of a trolley jack and offer a nice firm bed for the seam to sit in whilst jacking up.

I apologize again for throwing a bright orange spanner in to the equation.

Oh yes Old Stan! absolutely a larf  . That was in response to Frenchtone again asking where to jack when I thought this had been made perfectly clear in numerous posts, including several by me. Very much tongue in cheek.

I'm an avid (Ice) Hockey fan and have been hit enough times by a miss-hit puck to know a vulcanised rubber one when I see one fortunately, but thanks for he warning! Unfortunately my local skate shop has run out!

As was mine!! - its been a boring Saturday!!

However no one as answered my query re Tyre bays and the lifting points they use, no pucks! just under the suspension arms - if damage occurs are they liable??

:giggle::thumbup: The fast fit depot would be liable irrespective where they choose to jack.
