Rear light masks....match chrome grill?

Featured Replies

Well, here's my latest little bit of tinkering around. Bought a pair of milotec rear light masks off the bay, but they looked really bland. In a moment of, possibly misplaced, inspiration, I sprayed them metallic gold (sand, prime, paint, lacquer).

Was wondering what you think....does it look naff? I like it :$

In view of this....what do you think if I painted the current chrome grill the same shade of gold instead of cayenne orange?

Have you been talking to Brimma? :giggle:

Each to their own and all that, but definitely not one for me!

in all seriousness mate, what the hell were you thinking when you thought that was a good idea?

Oh crap :( Just wanted to do something a little different to what I've seen on here.... :'(

The natural black was too plain...matching it with the same colour as the body seemed weird.

Next time I'll just stick to photoshop.

Bring on the disapproval from the rest of Brisky.........

just take them off, you should get anymore grief that way :p

To be fair, they have been done very well.

But if it was me, like Brimma I'd do the grille, wheels and get some custom badges

to even up the look. The shade of gold goes nicely with the paint colour

actually I think.

But if you're going to do it, do the lot. B)

Sorry, Not a fan!

That was the plan initially.....grille, wheels and maybe the black bumper strips too to balance things up. But after the first few posts I was trying to think of how to weaken the 3m trim glue and remove them.

omg, Brimma beat me to it :p

Each to his own. All mods are subject to your own taste. Although I would take advantage of bonfire night which is just around the corner. Sorry!

Good on you for taking the flack so well however deserved it is. Its obviously a clean well looked after car so I'll extend a general  on behalf of all members on this site. Now go and think about what youve done - naughty boy!!!

Interesting "indicators" impression in photo 2 where the light has turned the reflectors orange. Apart from that...

Well I like it so nyaa....probably says more about my taste than my abilities. I was going to hold off the debadging in case some reprobate thinks it's a VRS, but now that the general consensus is , I won't worry about it being nicked :p
