Does anyone know how to make the puddle lights work when the mirrors are folded in ?? ?

Puddle lights only work when the mirrors are folded out ! dont see the point of that !:wonder:

i agree, its sad they don't come on when mirrors are folded, anyway to activate them when the mirrors folded?

Ya, I have got electric folding mirrors ... It s a bit handy as sometimes there is a lot of muck where I park the car and a little bit of light would be more than enough Also the superb has this feature ... So figured might be possible on the octy too...

This would come down to a coding issue. That the puddle lights are programmed not to illuminate if the mirrors are folded in. Skoda obviously thought the lights wouldn't be of much use, when the mirrors are folded against the body.

If I was in your position, I'd send a full vehicle scan to Ross-Tech and ask if it's possible to make this work the way you want it with VCDS. That requires you to have a full and licensed copy of VCDS of course.
