Hello everyone,

I'm a new Octavia VRS owner, recently bought after selling my beloved Accord Type-R (which had too much of a thirst for Optimax).

The car is great, although the sill (sills?) on one side is quite bent (doesn't really bother me) at the jacking point, but on the other side someone has made a right mess. Whatever sealant was on it, at the jacking point, has cracked and is flaking off, leaving metal exposed.

Does anyone know what stuff they put on the sills to act as sealant. I though I would just get the flaky stuff off and stick some new sealant on and then go with the touch up paint.

Get it repaired properly at a bodyshop. Or you anti perf warranty will be effected.

It was an Approved Skoda from a main dealer - do you think I might have any joy with them?

I'd certainly give it a go.
