Furby vRS - filler flap won't close!

Featured Replies

Just when I filled it tonight after I'd picked up from the 1st service too!

Went to close the flap, heard the normal click, then the flap popped out again and won't stay in! I can see the catch moving when I pull the release, so that's not stuck. I can also see some silver metal part behind that, what does this do and could that be the problem?

Anyone had any trouble with theirs? Known cure?

Hi Steve,

Have had this on my car, check out the following thread that I started and got help on :-

Thanks, I've actually just fixed it . Found a thread relating to the filler flap not *opening* but the fix was the same, the end of the cable wasn't correctly seated behind the boot trim. I'd obviously pulled the release a little too hard :)

Thanks for the link though.

Steve

It comes away a cable tie and a bit of gaffer tape usually fixes it.

Or a dob of super glue.

Had to replace a Felicia indicator one day, job took 3/4 of an hour because someone had been at it with the superglue.

Note the word 'dob' not half a bottle.

I managed to do this trick when I was shoving some wadding behind the boot side trim/carpet. Managed to flick something I didn't even realise was down there and my filler cap opened up and wouldn't shut again. Thankfully found where to fix it. :)
