Selecting Boost Stages???

Featured Replies

Hello, I have just bought a highly modded Octy VRs and am having problems selecting the various boost stages.

I dont know who tunned the car but i know it has a APR chip, the car apprently has four settings/stages :-

stg 1 default stock program

stg 2 chipped 95 Octane

stg 3 chipped 98 Octane

stg 4 chipped 104 Octane race prg

These settings are meant to be selected through the cruise control unit.

After reading through the manual (about 20 times) i still cant access the other modes.

I think the car is running on stg 1 at the moment (225 bhp 280 lbs).

Does anyone know what i am doing wrong or not doing???

Umm, Paaauuul!!

I bought the car off a dealer

Paul would be able to help on this.

Where abouts are you and is the car red?

If it' info regarding programme selection Colin could help.......or you go ask Awesome GTi.....they'd definately know.

:nono: That's against the spirit of the rules, Paul! Now how about saying how you would use the cruise stalk to change modes if, hypothetically, it was your car.

denis the quote is topgun not 007.....

you can use the cruise stalk to alter the speed of the vehicle... but if you have not unlocked the security feature then it wont do a lot else.. that code is secret and protected above and beyond the rules of a mere bulletin board......

does it look like this?

never raced, no track use ;)

never raced, no track use ;)

I would assume not as the car has no RAC/MSA papers..

may have had silly stickers and been on a few untimed driver training courses.

Don't post any old pictures of the interior.

(That was my favourite, Quote Paul "it now does 50mpg with the weight reduction":D)

(Back on topic)

APR maps are selectable with the cruise control controls, unless the features are locked with the security code.

Knowing Paul, i'm guessing 69 would be a good place to start for the code :P

Or in other words, you've forgotten it!

Know how to send a coded PM with the answer?

as soon as i read post 1 i thought "Red Baron!" :D
