Anyways, one thing I would like to know is there anyway to rewire the 12v socket through key because it runs even when the car is off and I lost my car battery accidentally by charging my laptop overnight.

I always thought the socket should switch off after 10 minutes of the ignition being off.

Just run a cable from the fuse box, connected to an ignition switched fuse, to the connector at the lighter. Simply snip the existing supply cable, isolate the supply end properly, and connect the new cable direct to the end already going to the socket.

This was one of the first things I did on mine, and aI used the same switched supply when I fitted the 12 volt socket in the boot.
