I've put up a few replies this morning to a couple of subjects, but thought I should introduce myself.

I've been tinkering with cars for the last decade or so; Have been through the Jap car scene and currently in a BMW 330ci. Throughout that time I've been pretty active on the relevant forums - and so now onto Briskoda

Less than two months ago my wife and I got married. We decided that the first stage of Project Family should be to consolidate our cars into one we shared. Ideally brand new. Not too big for her, not too small for me. Economical, but no slouch. Roomy. Affordable. We looked at a few options, but nothing ticked all the boxes quite like the Fabia Estate.

My Dad (registered here as RedDog) bought a 3.6L Superb recently, and my Mum also has a '60 Fabia Estate 1.2 105, so that's exactly what we went for. Visited James at Allams and placed an order on the 6th September.
