Bluetooth OBD2 with App

Featured Replies

Hey folks.

Just wanted to report about my new ebay purchase.

I got myself a Bluetooth OBD2 connector. It's an Elm 327.

My car wasn't listed as being compatible and I had read things about they're not compatible with all cars but I plugged it in, paired it up and fired up the Torque android app on my Desire.

It all working although I havn't tweaked the settings fully yet and it was showing a max recorded 94bhp and 174 lb/ft of torque.

It also registered 40 psi of boost at one time.

I will thing I will compare that to results I get on a laptop as it seems pretty high!

But in all for £15 it seems pretty good and the ability to check fault codes with just my phone is a bonus.

Phil
