HI, My octavia looks to have problems with the ECU ... local garage will look at it in his garage tomorrow, but seemed unsure about the problem after checking with his hand held monitor ? as it was showing up many faults .... and ECU problem.

I was thinking of identifying the unit for the part number incase I need send it for repair. Does anyone know of a repair facility near Dunfermline, Fife ?

Where is the unit situated ? infact is this what you would plug into for a diagnostic check ?

It's underneath the scuttle panel on the drivers side at the bottom of the windscreen.
