Is it normal that the engine havent used a drop of oil the first 3000km? or can it be that the car is a bit "tilted" because of the "rough road package"?

Xcyber there is a lot of variables regarding oil usage in the mk2 VRS, looks like you need the oil warm up before you give it the beans, if you drive it like " you're going to brake it" you'll get a lot of oil pouring out the pipes at the back, just drive it like it's not new ;) and you'll be fine over 3k I reckon anything over a couple of litres you need to drive it harder !

No mention of a Mk2 VRS by the op, the car in question is a 1.2TSI.

Mine's not used a drop of oil in 700 miles and I certainly wouldn't be worrying if it

hadn't used any by 3000km.

Sorry should have worn my goggles ;) I'm afraid the same is for most of Tsi engines depends how you drive it these engines need to get warm ;)

mine 1.2 TSI (86) 5000 miles used 1/4 ltr oil

Giving plenty of Heinz then ;)

I pick my tsi 86 up tomorrow morning and hope to burn as little oil as you. How did you run your engine in? By the manufacturers instructions or just driven normally, or revved to hell? :-)
