PHONE PROBLEM

Featured Replies

Can anyone help with phone problem my phone is a Samsung wave and pairing seems fine name and phone book shows on Maxidot but when I use phone book selected from Maxidot and dial number it says calling but then no service shows but will carry on trying but if I use phone handset to dial I can talk via mic/speaker ok. What is going on I don't know.

I have tried unlocking phone before starting car but no difference. Anyone got a thought on what I am doing wrong.

I have also had it work properly at times its the no service?? That I cannot get past seems to be intermittent.

Thanks.

PS For Ref.

2011 Octavia Vrs with Columbus, Bluetooth and phone controls on steering wheel.

2 months ago I got the Nokia C5-03 and it´s been to fix for 3 times (I think this time it´s fixed)

someone called and pressed the screen (bolero) and nothing, no sound no hello, no nothing.

Meanwhile however was on the other end was listening to my swearing away cause of the dam phone.

The phone also had issues, turned itself off, the screen freezed, sometimes you would only be able to talk to someone if you put it on loud speaker.

My case was the phone, don´t know if it´s yours. Have you tried it with another one.

You have a weird phone. It's Samsung's own home made Bada operating system and neither Android or MS.

It can only import contacts from SIM and Samsung says:

xxxxx Dear Sir,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Samsung mobile phones can not be expanded with the PBAP profile. (Phone Book Access Profile) so it seems only people on SIM addressbook can be called.

Put some contacts on SIM, (at least 250 contacs can fit into SIM) and give it a try.

If no good, than go to your Skoda dealer, and disable the rSAP mode and let it run on normal Bluetooth HFP.

hmmmm maybe because i have the Galaxy S but I paired mine up yesterday to my new van and it asked if i wanted to allow access to the PBAP profile. The van clearly doesn't connect to RSAP like my car does as the signal is still fed from the phone.

Galaxy S is Android and it supports rSAP, it can get choppy at times but it works, otherwise it will default to normal BT HFP if rSAP is absent.

I know that but Samsung are making out in that email, that none of their phones are PBAP compatible.....

As for being choppy, my RSAP has been 100% flawless. It is great as i travel through a lot of weak signal areas!

The email was about Bada Samsung Wave. My SGS2 works superbly with rSAP out of the box. Iphone 4 also works nicely with HFP.
