Kiwi Bluetooth - Android

Featured Replies

Got the PLX Kiwi Bluetooth for Android a month ago (80 quid). Works nicely connected to OBD port, many parameters and options available from track time, engine, gps, g-force, pitch, roll etc.

The phone app is called Torque and it's the best one for Android.

Not all work on Skoda, and there are many of the same group sensors that need to be tried to see if it works, but for having fun and looking extremely high tech smart @ss, it does the job. There are multiple screens that you setup your favorite gauges in any shape or size. There is a Iphone version working over WiFi.

Here are some pics:

Does this app measure Boost? As far as I know, a number of these apps cannot measure Boost pressure. :(

Boost is shown on third and fifth screen. It tells you the current and max achieved boost. Obviously there is a half second delay between flooring the pedal and boost showing on the app.

I want to know how Torque measures the bhp power of the engine. I have a 170hp VRS and Torque claims a peak output of 185.5 hp recently as well !!

Did you spec weight of car in settings? I've seen your engne doing 178 Hp stock on rollers so it ain't too far :)

I'm using Torque on my Octavia 1. I'm a cheapskate so I bought a clone bluetooth adapter. 15 quid delivered and it works fine in normal mode. Fast mode causes the occasional error.
