Anybody care to find it?

Look yourself ya lazy bu66er ! :p

Which pipe is it ? one from fmic behind the bumper ?

Yeah, looked on the bay for 45 degree 51mm alloy boost pipe and there's plenty to choose from cheers for your effort though.

gutting dude

hope you get it sorted

but fixing up at least you know it was done correctly

i think it be worth keeping but i had the same issue in mu old corsa - 3 bumps in 2 years and was not the same car after

hope you sort it

Ordered boost pipe, wing, new hid's, side repeater, bumper rails. Got quote for paint/repairs to both rear arches, spoiler, rear bumper, front bumper, wing, bonnet, mirrors colour code grille and colour code strut brace. They're also removing the rub strips for me. I'm considering making everything that's black gloss black. (splitter, grill slats, mirror bases, fog inserts) what do you lot think of that? I'm not painting anything that should be blue black, just the un-painted black parts.

The bumper and crash bar are coming to work with me tomorrow to have the numberplate surround removable like lukes and ventilation to the intercooler better.

When I get it back on the road I plan to have the calipers powder coated either in race blue or like a metallic cherry red, what do you think?

Also you sometimes get a glimpse of the rear anti roll bar so m considering having that fluorescent green or yellow. Let me know what you think of my plans weather it sounds good or terrible.

Ross

Sounds good, at least you can make some good out of the bad situation. Glad your ok and a shame you didn't get the plonkers no plate. Glad your keeping it, your car is one of my favourite se models along with a few others on here.

I like the idea of painting the black plastics black, it's something I'd like to do on my Ibiza

I had the body shop paint every thing that should be black gloss black last time it was in having some work done... Sets the front off really well imo

That's one good thing about bumping a car, you got to spend a lot of money repairing so why not go the full hog. Like your plans, though I think the paint will chip quite easy on the grill slats but I'd still try it.

I'm glad that you are okay - Good luck fixing the car.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Nice to see you keeping it Ros, Body shop should know to put like 5 layers of laquer on the leading edge plastics this will help keep the stone chips at bay. plus why dont you look into getting it paint protected with that clear film that stops stone chips? they use it on porkers and stuff.

ROS53Y: Ran out of talent Help him rebuild (bodge) her...

Interesting change of thread title. :giggle:

And yes, clear film on a vehicle helps a lot with stone chips.

Your car was one of the best looking at Combe recently so hope you get it all sorted and see you back on track in April.

Hope your ok, and i hope the car also gets back together ok, i saw you do the runs at GTI international and your car was pretty quiiiick. When i crashed myn a few months ago i fort may as well colour code everything else as its in the body shop lol.

Was mine better?

Was mine better?

You just can't beat Race Blue on a Fabia. ;)

Was mine better?

Boring. Black and usual halfords mods. Can't be mistaken for a propper Fabia.

Sorry. Maybe one day.

If you are still looking for a decent bodyshop then drop Motorcare a line - my best mate is top painter ;)

Whoops

Parts ordered and ready to go. New wing (genuine part) both bumper slider (rails/Clips) side repeator, boost pipe and depo headlights. Bumper and crash bar are still at work being chopped for air intake behind the number plate and it'll be ready for the paint shop :) let's hope they do a good job. Luke XaosX will find out before me :o

Glad your ok Ross and are keeping your car. Could have been good if you decided to make a VRS SE Estate! Would have been an epic car

I'd have been very surprised if he'd let it go, it's a nice car and would be very difficult to replace IMO.

When's it going in Ross?

I assume that it won't be ready for Saturday then? :(

Not going to be ready for Saturday. It'll be in probably early next week.

Like BossFox said, I'm not going to find a car as fun that I know a fair bit about with this spec for the money available to me. I think it's got another year in it ;)
