Just a quick question to anyone ref my octy vrs wondering if this normal or not.i seem to get better performance when pressing the accelerator pedal half way than pressing full throttle can anyone help.

yep. mine too. I think it is phychological !

You are using the drive-by-wire throttle like an On/Off switch if you floor it - a not very subtle way to drive and one which won't give you the best performance, as you have found out.

I find that a progessive press of the pedal does make a difference........about 3/10 of a second when trying out launching to 60!!
