Why does my new octy always display trip miles instead of total miles covered when I switch on the ignition each time?

I'd far rather see the total covered. How can I change it?

It's been bugging me, If you gently press the reset button,it switches back to total milage, trouble is it so very easy to reset the trip instead,

Should only reset if you hold the button down for a few seconds...changing between trip and total mileage shold only require a single short press.

I guess the reason for showing trip mileage and not total miles is...you can see total miles on the odo....and it's assumed you would want to see just the miles for your current trip when you start up.

Yes, I am getting fed up having to gently press the re-set button every time I climb into the car though!

Actually, i'm the other way around. I couldn't care less what my total miles are apart from when I fill up (and the iginition is off then anyway).

I'd rather see the trip when i'm driving
