Really not a technical guy at all so this noise is a mystery to me.

Mk1 Fabia VRS is making a clicking noise coming from passenger footwell. I thought it was the CD multichanger under the seat at first but the noise got louder and faster in reverse. It comes and goes. Isn't always present!?

Any theories would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Have a look at the exhaust system and the connections to "other bits" underneath, including engine and gearbox mountings. See threads on lubricating mountings. Gearbox noises don't usually disappear, so don't panic.

Found the problem! Something was in the blowers!? Went to de-mist the windows and wheni turned the blowers up to 2 the noise changed again, put it to 4, back to off and back to 4. Problem solved. Havent heard it since!?!?
