I have a 2000(aee) octavia. Just recently the engine has started not to run very smooth and on three occasions now the engine has just cut out usually when slowing down for traffic light or round abouts. Can anyone help??

could be air mass playing up get the fault codes read, or disconnect the air mass see if it runs better, will chuck a fault up though disconnecting it

Thanks, have tried that and it seem to be running a little better, just a little concerned after I had disconnected the sensor drove to my mates house who has a scanner. No faults logged nor has the engine managment light come on. But I`ll see how it runs for the next few days

Have similiar issue with my 1999 octavia 1,8 20v. It suddenly cut outs and wont start for atleast 30-60 min. Very unconvinent in rush our... I doubt its air mass meeter since that one is rather new.
