17" wheels with Elegance trim

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it's possible to get 16" or 17" wheels with the Elegance trim. I don't care for ultra low profile tyres, especially when driving on alpine roads?

Thanks in advance for any contributions.

I was under the same impression as you before I collected my Elegance, however the 18" wheels ride very well indeed and no worse IMO than my 16" winter wheels/tyres.

Speaking of which if you are driving in alpine conditions winter tyres are a really good investment

& dare I add Gizmo... in a number of countries a legal requirement in the winter months! So can I assume you will have a set of Winter & summer tyres 100andthirty? in which case I agree with Gizmo that the ride is more than acceptable and infact quite surprising considering the lack of rubber.

However, good luck with whatever combination you decide to go with, I suspect you will no doubt be more than happy with whichever selection you make.

I'm with the previous two posters, OP. I think the ride is far superior on the Elegance's 18" rims than the SE (which I had on loan prior to the delayed delivery of my Elegance) which had 17" rims. And, sk8tergirl you're correct, in many countries winter tyres are a legal requirement for several months of the year - if only the UK (and it's fleet managers) were so switched on...

I have a SE and Elegance on 17" rims, the seats (even though they look the same) are far more comfortable on the Elegance and hence give a beter ride.

The previous owner opted for the 17" rims and I tested an Elegance with 18" and to be honest could not tell the difference.
