Coilover query...

Featured Replies

Anyone else here on Hot Tuning/TA Technix coilovers? Mine squeak loudly when on slow roads and I'm guessing it's my top mounts rattling like something is loose. Today I took the helper springs out the fronts to try and get it level with the rear...which didn't happen as I still have reverse rake :S I'm now on temporary Seat rims until I can find a decent set of spiders/TT rims with tyres. I'm hoping the reason it's more bouncey than any of my mk2 golfs that had the same suspension and no helpers is because of the balloon tyres?

Here's a pic of my car as it now stands:

Anyone else found the coilovers not going very low on the front? It's wound all the way down on the front with no helpers springs in and the rear is just the springs, no adjuster cups?

Matt.

keep your retaining spring in mate, if you run 17 like i do its ok to lower down to it, just the right clearance with no rubbing and no problem with speed bumps, raise your rear end thats why its so bumpy get the front end down, you have shorter droplinks too?

heres a pic of mine on tt 6 spokes 205 40 17
