Gear wheel on garbage can?

Featured Replies

Where the handbrake is, there's a little garbage can you can press out. Also you can get the interior out to empty it. If the interior is out, I noticed a little black thingy inside the can and when removing it, it was a little gear wheel. Does anybody know, why is it there? I did not notice any different movement of can with and with out it.

Just curious to little things :D

I think you are referring to the close-able vent inside the arm rest cubby hole that allows aircon (ie cooled) air in to keep cans etc cold

One the same in the glovebox too if you have a look

Put the aircon on, if you cant feel cold air blowing through then turn the dial until you feel it

No. In front of the arm rest and back to the hand brake, there is a little compartment, that you can push in and then it will open. It has a black colored removable cup inside. If you remove it and then look into the remain compartment (not the black one you just removed), there is a little black plastic thingy that you can remove. It has a gear on it.

It's the damper for the opening action....
