Activating alarm chirp with VCDS

Featured Replies

Been searching for the last 20 minutes and can't find any thread indicating how it's done... but on a Fabia II vRS how do you activate the alarm beep/chirp with VCDS?

fatty5000 has very kindly offered to help me out by enabling the feature :)

Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me :)

It should be similar to all the other cars.

Open VCDS

Open Module 46 - Central Convenience

Click Adaptation

If you have a recent version of VCDS then there's a "documented settings" section in the top of the dialogue box, so alarm chirp should be listed in there, if not it's a case of scrolling up through the channels until one shows up as "LOCKED BEEP" and flipping the value for that channel to 1

So is it possible to activate just LOCKED, but leave UNLOCK silent?? I have both bleeps activated, but would prefer just LOCK??

Thank you :)

Perhaps this should be made a sticky, as I could not find the instructions anywhere via search.

Yes, just leave the unlocked beep channel as value = 0, and change the one for locked beep to value = 1

Cheers

Can do the same for the flashes too if you should wish. :)
