hello to all,i have found this forum very useful in the past and hope you can help now , i have a 2000 skoda fabia 1.4 8v aqw in the workshop that will not link to any scanner, i have tried 4 different generic scanners(mine has linked to all vag group before) and a dedicated vag scanner , they all power up ok but then report linking error, i have +12.4v on pin 16 , good ground on pin 4 and +9v on pin 7 k line, the plug looks ok to the eyes, the fuses are all ok and i cannot see any breaks in the wiring, there is NO radio fitted and the k line connection at the radio plugs is connected to nothing, i want to know what should be on the can hi and low connections......should i see any resistance or voltage on these pins ? ......... the physical fault with the car is mil on and loss of power as if the car is in limp mode, it first had a bad misfire , i changed the coil pack and ect which has cured the misfire but the car is still hard to start and has a loss of power ......... thanks in advance for your help ..... andy

p.s. sorry for long post i was trying to include anything that may be helpful :wonder:

There are no CAN diagnosics on that car so CANH and CANL are not connected at the diagnostics port. It is K-line only.
