Wooooo Hoooooo Finally sorted!

Featured Replies

At last, after weeks of diagnostics and exploration, the misfiring problem has finally been sorted.

For those who have followed this in previous threads, I had been suffering misfires on my 2011 TSI vRS Octavia for some time (between 2-3k revs), and the following codes frequently produced -

P0299

P0300

P0301

P0303

P0304

U1017

The dealer couldn't find the actual fault causing the codes using their diagnostics, so ended up running tests on individual components, and this became a lengthy and at times frustrating process. But hats off they didn't give up and finally isolated it to the..........MAF sensor.

Apparently although not producing fault codes itself, it was sending out duff values and creating faults further down the line.

Anyway thought I'd post on here as it may be of help in the future if anyone gets a similar problem.

Glad you got to the root of the problem, nice one emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Glad you finally resolved it!
