Outside temperature " bong "?

Hi, no its not outside temp bong I know all the usual beeps this is a new one,the service interval spanner has been on for a few weeks as the last servicer didnt reset it.maybe after a certain time or distance after the spanner appears it gives out a different warnibg.Any thoughts?

Run it back to your service agent and get them to reset it and see if that sorts your bongs out.

Hi I reset the service interval and the beeps are still there. I'm stumped!

Failed alarm battery? Do the beeps sound like they come from the back of the car?

No they are definately from the dash somewhere ,just can't figure out where!

Mine does this..I cant work it out either..

It could be a low battery warning

Only way you will find out is to get it scanned , trouble is only one member in Ireland with it and that is Northern, number 115 :thumbup:http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/74720-list-of-vag-com-diagnostic-system-vcds-owners/

Hi, I think I will leave it in the meantime,as long as everything is working and the car is driving ok!I phoned the local Skoda dealer and he wasn't sure what it is either but he said not to worry about it.

The beeping stopped I think it was a bulb out warning although whenever the warning light came on before there was no beeping!

  • 6 years later...

My wife's 2011 Skoda Yeti 1.8 petrol has been doing this recently as it is little used. Sound seems to be from the front door area. Very annoying but I think I have the answer. Since putting it on a battery conditioner, the noise has stopped! So it is most probably a low battery warning.

Some people have mentioned the superiority of a calcium battery. I had this type of battery on a 2007 Holden Calais V8 in New Zealand. I was told by a Holden dealer that I had to use a special "calcium battery conditioner". Apparently this regularly pulses through a 17 volt jolt to agitate the electrolyte which would otherwise "stratify". Paid $250 NZD for one made in Australia & it worked fine. Holden dealer people told me that calcium batteries are cheaper to make than lead types which contain antimony.

Are you sure it's not the bluetooth connecting to your phone ??

Edited by JED

Thank you JED for taking the time to post this helpful message. Indeed I have eliminated Bluetooth as the culprit by the simple expedient of not having my phone on me. My car battery charger, I now discover, has not been working  (its a 12-year-old CSI Air Flow model) & simply failed to top up the battery. It has been "retired"! I have another CSI Air Flow which continues to work perfectly & this has charged the Yeti's battery to full strength. Thanks again.
