Clearing dash warning lights

Featured Replies

Apart from using a lap top or vag com to clear warning lights, is there anything on the market that you can plug in, push a button and clear them

I have set off one of the front seat airbag warning light again when hoovering, I thought I had the wires taped up to stop it but alas no

I know its only an advisory on the MOT but dont want to see it when I look at the dash

How much would the above cost if available

My airbag light has also just illuminated for the 2nd time in 6 months. Previously a fellow member cleared it using vcds but I also want the ability to clear the light myself and can't afford the £250 plus for vcds. I would like to buy one of these code readers but are they any good? Has anyone else bought one and what do you think? Failing that, skippy, if you do buy one can you let me know your thoughts?

Skippy, I decided to bite the bullet and bought one of the code readers that Shane recommends. I found the exact same one on ebay for £21 plus £4 postage. It arrived this morning and it cleared my airbag light in less than two minutes. I would definitely recommend this code reader if all you need to do is clear warning lights and codes!

Skippy, do you have an Android phone?

If you do, then the Torque application will work for you, combined with a £20 bluetooth ELM327 adapter.

I use it in my SuperbII for geeky things like a boost guage and other such nonsense.

Torque is free.
