Hi everyone its jp hear i was wondering if anyone has bought a chip for there Vrs that takes it to 150 bhp & what if any problem they have found as i have bought one. Just thought i would see if there is any problems before i fit mine any help poss would be great thanks

your giving the car more power than what Skoda/VW designed the rest of the components to handle - although they will but will probably suffer premature life spans

i'd start by uprating your brakes and informing your insurance company

Ethan, do a search. The subject has been done to death. If you need help searching, do a search for AmD, Jabba, Revo, Star Performance just to name a few that do PD130 tuning. I guess you're talking about a fabia vRS?

What chip did you buy? Most of the tuners will reflash the existing ECU so they don't actually need to touch it..... the other option is to buy a 30 quid tuning box off eBay which will fool the ECU into putting more fuel into the engine and give you gains of 25-30%...

The other problem, aside from premature wear and stress on components is that your warranty will be invalidated.

I'm guessing he's got a refueller box as opposed to a remap chip.
