Tried to search on briskoda for the solution, but couldn't find anything similar..

I have 54 Skoda Fabia 1.2 64. It developed very rough idle and engine management light came on recently.

We had this reading from a VAG reader:

17851/P1443/005187 - Potentiometer for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (G212): Signal too Low

17811/P1403/005123 - EGR System: Regulation Deviation

17511/P1103/004355 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating; B1 S1: Performance too Low

So we decided to replace the EGR valve, spent £150, but nothing is solved...

It still runs very rough on idle (below 1000 revs)

We still have engine light on and have this reading now:

16555/P0171/000369 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1: System Too Lean

Could anybody help me to solve this problem? Any experience or advice? :wonder:

Umm, No I haven't done any setting. I'm not that pro yet.

My mechanic has replaced the egr for me, then left me alone with 16555 fault code afterwards.

What do I need to do in basic settings exactly?

The EGR valve will need to be adapted, channel 074 in basic settings in engine.

Very true, iirc latest version is 7??? Fault remaining is one of them listed for the update.

Doing "EGR Valve Adaptation" as Tech1e suggested seems solved the shaky idle problem. But I haven't test the car thorougly yet.

I am not sure about ECU P/N and Software versions etc. These are what I have from my printout:
