hello all

i want to change my speakers today. i had the door card off the other day and saw the front speakers are just screwed in so i don't think i need any adapters for the front correct me if I'm wrong. what sizes fit in the front doors?

do you need adapters for the rears? what size speakers fit at the back and are they easy to fit?

i got a set of adaptors for my octavia and they were the right fitment etc but couldnt get the adaptors in without taking the door cards off.so i thought sod that so just took it to my local radio shop and they got the speakers in without the adaptor. the front speakers r 6,5inch/165mm but if u r talking about depth the radio shop didnt seem to have a problem fitting in the hertz speakers i got with a depth of 61mm. i dont think u need adaptors for the rear but i havent changed the rears yet and fitment of the rear is 5.25inch/130mm. fitment should be easy on the rear.

will 160mm 6" speakers fit fine?

it might do but i aint too sure on that. unless like the kenwood speakers i have which came with an adaptor which for example my civic was 160mm fitment but the kenwoods were 165mm so it came with a thin adaptor which made fitment no problem

Alpine R type components 16.5 cm front and R type 13.5 coaxe in the rear. Straight fitment.
