Removing scratch

Featured Replies

The rear wing on my race blue Octy estate was keyed from the petrol cap to rear light by some idiot overnight. Im sure I'm not the first person on here that this has happened to. Any advice on trying to polish it out?

Cheers

Depends on how deep it is; pictures might help.

Have you tried to polish it out?

A picture would be a massive help

If it's through to the primer it's not polish outable  if not then it depends on the depth. There's various methods but like I say need an answer to the above and if appropriate a picture.

If you can run your fingernail across the scratch and feel it then it is a repaint/touchup job I'm afraid. If not then it can be polished out, you could try a colour matched polish and see if that helps.
