Just joined the forum after picking up an Octavia 4x4, 2008 model.

Lovely car, will be used out in the French Alps with winter tyres.

After reading tne owners manual I've spotted that standard snow chains

are not recommended, so looking at Thule K-summits, expensive but an easy fit.

Legal requirement to have some form of chain/equivalent in the mountains out here

and often needed if the snow suddenly freezes solid after a thaw. Any advice appreciated.

Thought I had a problem with the rear fog lights with only 1 working.

Took the bulb holders out, checked fuses etc. then read on here that only

one was factory set to work with a probable dealer option of switching on both.

Only other problem I've found so far is the reversing lights are not working, bulbs are fine

so I'll be looking for a fuse and then the switch.
