Golf mk4 Arm Rest

Featured Replies

Well i was wondering if anyone knows if a golf mk4 arm rest will fit an octy, or is there any difference

I think it fits, but the trim around the rear is not an exact fit, and you will end up seeing some of the metal work. The solution is then to buy the correct trim from your dealer.

As above,

They do fit (had one in my old one) but you need to trim the metal foot to clear the fag lighter and buy the Octavia plastic covers from the dealer.

My advice would be to buy the correct foot from the dealer aswell to save hassle as trimming the foot will weaken it.

Try and find and Octy in a scrap yard with one.... Elegance and L&K trim had them as standard from the factory, iirc. They are quite a popular upgrade though, so it might take quite some time to track one down :-(

yeah that was my thoughts thats why i was thinking about the golfs one, well cheers guys saved me going out and finding out the hard way

As already stated you'll need to get a new foot or modify the Golf one. Pretty sure the mounting kit isn't that expensive from Skoda or TPS.

Or find someone on here who has one but hates it! They can be swapped quite easily. Stick an ad in Wanted?

I can think if quite a few people on here who hate them, so it should not be too hard.

It was the only way they could get people to buy Diesels, the VRS didn't need any gimmiks :p

 harsh! I can think of one diesel driver who hates his arm rest though, so he must have been buying a diesel for the quality of the diesel engine and carrying capacity that make our cars so good :giggle:

I bought mine as the GFs dog was ruining my 306 (but that was a HDi, so I was already a diesel convert!)
