Octavia mk 2

Featured Replies

Hi everyone i was hoping someone can give me some advice i have a 2004 octavia mk2 1.9tdi, it felt light the clutch started slipping although the revs never increased when i put my foot down but it is very sluggish picking up speed, then the management warning light came on & stayed on with a warning message saying "workshop imissions" that comes on every so often, i wondered if it is something i can sort out myself or do i need a garage, i have put a code reader on it & the codes i am getting are as follows

18104

18058

17056

17057

17058

16683

10655

unfortunately none of these codes are in the code reader book i would be really grateful if anyone could advise me Thanks

Yet another case of you get what you pay for.

Look on the Ross-Tech wiki, all but the last code are on there with an explaination of the possible causes

Hi Gizmo68 someone said it could be the ERG so i stripped mine down & it was caked to hell so i cleaned it all up but it didn't seem to make any difference however i did notice that when i put my foot down the rubber pipe that comes off the ERG opposite side of the manifold sucks in, i just wondered if you had any ideas what could be causing it any advice would be gratefully received thanks

Cheers Gizmo68 much appreciated
