Annoying rattle fix

Featured Replies

Just for once I thought I would post an answer rather than a question.

For ages I've been trying to locate the source of an annoying rattle over rough ground, particularly in first gear when just getting moving.

At last ive found the cause it turns out to have been caused by the passengers seat belt stalk vibrating against the side of the centre console. I've just wedged a cd case in for the moment but overjoyed all rattles are now no more. Hope this helps someone.

To add to this thread found a rattle fix of my own. Only happens with a subwoofer at certain frequencies, but pushing the rubber buffer that touches the parcel shelf passenger side eliminates this. I suspect some padding out and it will eliminate it entirely, just need to devise a plan :) Originally thought it would be one of the bits of boot trim bottom or side as they're broken, presumably by the person who fitted the towbar for previous owner.
